Wednesday

Isabelle and I traveled into London yesterday. We visited the Tower of London. We saw the Crown Jewels, the King’s Chambers, read about the Royal Beasts, and finished off with the Palace of Torture. I have some new parenting ideas as a result! We then rode the Tube over to Marble Arch. We had a picnic in Hyde Park and then walked along Oxford Street. Isabelle is getting this Londoner thing down, look at her sleeping on the train. Too cute!!

Back in Colchester

It was a whirlwind of a ‘holiday’ last week.  In five days we traveled 1700 miles.  We saw a lot of exquisite castles and amazing countryside.  I didn’t think I could say, “Oh wow!” so many times in just five days!!  It was busy though.  We are back at Liz and Brian’s.  They are such gracious hosts!  They have spoiled us with hospitality and friendship!  Isabelle loves it here!  Not only does she have her own room, a pristine backyard to play in, but a Great Dane puppy, Martin.  She is happy, happy!!  Time to recharge and work until next week when we head out to Paris!!

Grand Riding House

William Cavendish entertained his guests with cavalier horsemanship displays in the Grand Riding House, the oldest one still standingIMG_3078 IMG_3079 in the UK.  Isabelle chatted with the rider, Ben, for over an hour.  She now has a crush! XO
